Tooth Whitening: Bleaching
We have been successful at providing scientifically accepted
'evidence-based' whitening procedures to our patients for over 15
years. As manufacturers and merchandisers continue to battle for
market share, hundreds of products have flooded the marketplace
only to increase public confusion. Our team will be please to guide
you in the proper choice of tooth whitening methods and
materials routinely available in our clinic.
Porcelain Veneers:
Veneers are “partial” porcelain crowns used to restore chipped,
stained, discoloured, unevenly spaced, or crooked teeth. We
routinely use this technique for smile enhancement and complete
makeovers.
Crowns:
If your tooth is extensively damaged, a crown may be the treatment
of choice to restore its shape, appearance and long-term function.
You may also need a crown if you have a root canal, a large filling
in a tooth or a broken tooth.
A crown may be suggested in order to provide the strongest most
aesthetic long-term restoration for your tooth. Crowns are made
from various types of materials. They may be completely ceramic
(porcelain), metallic, acrylic or a combination. Different
conditions will influence the appropriate selection.
Bridges:
A bridge is a “fixed” (permanently cemented) dental prosthesis used
to replace one of more missing teeth. If a tooth is lost, it is
important to replace it as soon as possible. This will prevent the
remaining teeth from drifting out of alignment and causing jaw
problems. A bridge can be cemented on natural or “bionic”
implant supported teeth.
