AESTHETIC SERVICES

Your New Smile

Unhappy with your smile? Aesthetic dentistry can come to your rescue. Whether it’s one crooked tooth or a mouthful of problems, we have the knowledge and experience to help you transform your smile.

On your first visit, we will discuss your dental concerns with you and suggest solutions. If your situation is complex, we will take photographs and X-rays. Our goal is to help you reach your dental goals. If you also need other oral-health services, we will help to coordinate your treatment with an orthodontist, periodontist (for your gums) or oral surgeon.

Computer-based Smile Design

We use digital X-rays and photography, along with custom computer software, to develop customized dental treatment options for you.

Aesthetic Makeovers

Our treatment options can involve a combination of techniques such as crowns, veneers, bridges, implants, CEREC restorations, implant-supported bridges and dentures.

Tooth Whitening

We have been providing evidence-based whitening procedures to our patients for over 15 years. Because there are many whitening products on the market that make unrealistic claims, our team will advise you and help you to choose the best whitening treatment – and the best shade of white – for you.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers (also known as facings) are “partial” porcelain crowns used to restore chipped, stained, discoloured, unevenly spaced, or crooked teeth. This ultra-conservative technique helps in dental problems ranging from a single tooth to extensive makeovers.

SPECIALIZED TREATMENTS

Invisalign®

Invisalign aligners are the clear alternative to metal braces for adults, kids and teens.  These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements our specialists plans out for you.

Bridges

A bridge is a “fixed” (permanently cemented) dental prosthesis that replaces one or more missing teeth. It is important to replace a lost tooth as soon as possible – this keeps your remaining teeth from drifting out of alignment, which can cause jaw and bite problems. Dr. Di Pietro or Dr. Cooper can attach a bridge to one of your own teeth, or he can install several implants to hold the bridge.

Crowns

A crown may be the treatment to restore your tooth’s shape, appearance and long-term function if you have a broken tooth or an especially large filling, or if you had a root canal treatment. A crown will provide a strong, aesthetically pleasing and long-lasting restoration for your tooth. Crowns can be made of ceramic (porcelain), metal or acrylic or a combination of those materials. Our dentists will recommend which crown is best for you.

Implants
What is an implant?

An implant is an artificial root that the dentist inserts into the jawbone to replace a single missing root. He can attach a replacement tooth to one implant, and a bridge or denture to several implants. Modern implants have a 98% success rate – which is better than for the alternative dental treatments.

Who are implants suitable for?

Implants are suitable for patients of any age who have enough bone (and dense-enough bone) in their jaw to hold the implant.

What types of implants are there?

Single implants can support crowns or single missing teeth or stabilize some types of removable partial dentures.

Multiple implants can anchor fixed bridges or stabilize dentures. Denture-wearers who have trouble eating can solve their problems by getting implants.
